The Test Center offers classroom exam scoring services to Temple University faculty. To use this service, faculty provide us a set of filled out student bubble sheets with a corresponding answer key from an exam they conducted that is in need of scoring. After our office receives the exams, we will then score them and provide a web report with a comprehensive Item Analysis for your proceedings.
The Process
- Requests for exam processing may be dropped off in 3 locations:
- If the door is closed, please use the mail slot of Carnell Hall Room 715A
- If the door is open, place them in the black mailbox at the entrance of the room
- Drop them off with a staff member in Carnell Hall Room 714
- Test data and answer keys must be submitted on IRA-approved optical scanning ("bubble") forms along with a Classroom Examination Processing Request form.
- Requests will be available within 2-3 business days from the time the exam is submitted.
- After processing, faculty receive a detailed Item Analysis Package (IAP) report which includes a variety of statistical item and test measures, student listings, and scoring options. Additionally, an Excel file containing summary data and a raw scan data text file are provided for each test. The status of each exam scoring job, the IAP report (in pdf format), summary Excel file, and raw data file are available through IRA's Exam Access System (EAS) website. To sign up for EAS and receive your IAP report via the web, complete an EAS Form and drop off the signed application and a copy of your OWL Card in the mail slot of Room 715A Carnell Hall.
