Merima has been a member of Temple's IRA office in the Data Analysis and Reporting unit since 2014. Prior to assuming this role, Merima served as a Researcher to former Temple president David Adamany in the Office of the Chancellor. She was responsible for identifying key data sources, designing and maintaining a longitudinal database, and providing qualitative research in support of a publication. Merima earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Political Science from Temple University and spent time studying abroad at Temple Rome.
Within IRA, Merima is responsible for the publication of the University Fact Book, At a Glance, Common Data Set, and Student Profiles, as well as compliance reporting to various federal and state agencies including IPEDS. She is responsible for University Graduation & Retention reporting, updating and maintaining our official degree database, Fly in Four reporting, producing the Academic Quality Indicators and the Campus Reports, as well as various ad hoc requests. She also focuses on building dashboards in Tableau and conducting workshops at professional conferences. Merima has technical expertise working with Banner INB, Tableau, Cognos Reporting, SQL Developer, SPSS, and QGIS.
